San Diego Ultimate Players,

It is time once again for DUDE (Diego Ultimate Disc Experience).  There will be some major changes this year that will hopefully make it a better experience for everyone:
1) playoffs and tournament where you actually play for first place (prize?!)
2) new registration and payment via OnlyUltimate website (I will not handle any funds and no personal checks)
3) hat league instead of a draft (equal teams, no baggages)

There will be 11 “regular season” games where you play each team.  Then there will be playoffs and a final tournament/BBQ where Bamboo has set up an actual tournament. The webpage can be found at http://www-acs.ucsd.edu/~squids/dude/ where you can find the schedule, matchups, contact email, etc.

The DUDE schedule this year is as follows:
June:  22, 24, 29

July:  1, 8, 13, 15, 20

Aug:  3, 11, 12
Aug 17 & 18 = playoffs
                21 = final tournament/bbq

Most games are Tues Thurs until August when poop hits the fan.  Games are 7-8:30pm and 8:30-10pm on Muir field as last year.  BBQ and tournament day is from 9:30AM – 5:00PM on Warren West and Marshal Field.  We will let you know exactly where you play when the time comes.

The league will be limited to 12 teams of 18 people per team. The first 216 people will be able to play. It is first come first serve, no exceptions.  No baggages are going to be accepted this year because it is a hat league and each team will, hopefully, be equally matched for greater competition.

IMPORTANT:

Registration will start when you get this email until June 13th.  There will be a late fee if you sign up after June 13th until June 18th when registration closes.  I am sorry about the limited time, but its what we all have to work with.
